"Shwiya b shwyia" is Darija (Moroccan Arabic) for “little by little.” It’s how things get done in Morocco … and it's how I'm progressing as a Peace Corps volunteer here, working in youth development.

My day in pictures.
"There are camels in the yard next door," Kabira tells me, giggling. Um, okay ~ why? We don't know. But we go up to the roof for a look. Some of them look back.
(She also tells me people have been reporting minor earthquakes in Agadir and Taroudant. I don't have pictures of that.)
You'll be glad to know I finally snagged a fan. Hope it lives up to its name.
I can't post my mailing address or phone number here (for security reasons), but send me an email or leave a blog comment with your contact info, and I'll let you in on the top-secret digits.
I'm also on Skype!
FYI for phone calls: Morocco is 6 hours ahead of Central Standard Time.

They look young. Don't feed them or they'll just keep coming back.
Hooray for the fan replacement! A lifesaver during the summer heat, I'm sure.
hahaha the fan! I miss that stuff. And the wedding music was amazing! Great to be transported back. Thanks Becki!
